• Engineered 2 autonomous rovers integrating Pixhawk, NUC, and Nvidia Jetson Nano-based controls, capable of a maximum velocity of 5 m/s and acceleration of 1 m/s² at a 45-degree inclination
• Utilized stereo camera to perform object detection and feature matching to obtain visual odometry with translation errors of less than 1% and rotation errors of around 0.3 degrees per meter to ground truth
• Achieved Implemented sensor fusion using GPS, IMU, LiDAR, and camera to enhance rover navigation capabilities by 20%
• Performed waypoint navigation employing sensor fusion via EKF and PID controller
